- Finish reading Jane Eyre (we will read chapter 38 in class on Wednesday).
- Thursday - Complete handouts "Your Words Reveal You" and "Study Guide for Chapters 28-38" in class. If you don't finish, this will be homework for spring break.
Homework for spring break:
1) Handouts
2) Jane Eyre essay - Write the third paragraph (Topic Sentence: The powerful events near the end of the book serve to test and showcase Jane's _______________.) Also, revise the three body paragraphs.
3) Update reading journal (to be turned in the day of the next test - date will be announced in class when we return).

*Bring final draft of narrative and your illustration to class on Tuesday. We will be assembling the panels in class.
Homework for Tuesday: Write an introductory paragraph (with a thesis statement) and three topic sentences for the following prompt:
Three figures play pivotal roles in Janie's development: her grandmother, Joes Starks, and Tea Cake. Discuss the way in which each influences Janie's development.
